The Shepton Branch

We've added a new route to the work in progress (WIP) section of our website. The Shepton Branch is being worked on by TrolleyFodder, to represent a ficticious pre-WWII GWR branch line set in Somerset.

"This route is an 8 mile fictional GWR branch line set between 1930-40. Originally built during the outbreak of WWI as a spur for a small air force outpost west of Kingsbury, the route weaves its way through the rolling hills and countryside north-west of Yeovil. After the war ended, the line then opened to serve the local farmland and neighbouring villages. A few years after, the line was extended a couple more miles when a small coal seam was found to the south, terminating at Shepton."

You can read more about the project on the route page. Estimated release date is late 2026.

LMS Circuit Preview #2

We have uploaded a second preview video of LMS Circuit. This time, we follow a local stopping train weaving its way around the western suburban loop. The train travels from Durranhill Junction to London Road via Godley Junction and Wath Central. Watch below:

LMS Circuit is likely to be our next freeware route release, coming after the payware Somerset & Dorset is wrapped up and released. The route is a sprawling network of lines, perfect for a mixture of express, stopping, and freight traffic. Return loops at each end allow for unlimited running.

You can read the route page here. Coming late 2025.
