LBSCR Scenario Pack (Part 1)

We have just released a pack of 5 scenarios for the Great Western Levels (1902) route. These scenarios imagine that the route is run by the LB&SCR, using stock solely from this company. We have covered the different decades between the 1870s and 1910s.

These scenarios are a great way to get to know our latest coach pack, the LBSCR Stroudley 4/6 Wheelers, which feature heavily.

We also made sure to cover a lot of different operations, some of which haven't been done before with our existing scenarios on the route. We hope you will enjoy!

KWVR 50th Anniversary Gala Day 5

This pack contains 13 scenarios covering the 5th day of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway's 50th Anniversary Gala.

The Scarborough Flyer Railtour (2008)

During the summer of 2008, the Railway Touring Company ran a series of railtours from Crewe to Scarborough. These trains were routed via the Huddersfield line, Wakefield Kirkgate and Castleford. There was a pool of 2 locos for these trips, being 6201 Princess Elizabeth and 60009 Union of South Africa. In this scenario pack you will be driving 60009.

The pack contains 3 scenarios for the Huddersfield Line route.

Three Scenario packs for S&D Phase 1

 Hello all! We are happy to announce the release of three scenario packs for Phase 1 of GAD's Somerset and Dorset route. All scenarios are based on real trains and practices, with some creative license taken to keep the requirements minimal.

Pack 1: Norton Mishap

This pack takes place on a foggy Spring day in 1962. You are a Radstock driver working one of the depot's few mainline turns on a mineral train out to Evercreech and back. It is clear however that the poor weather has upset arrangements, and the day's work is going to be somewhat improvisational.

Pack 2: Up the Bank!

This pack takes place in the high summer of 1956. You are a Branksome driver who has been borrowed to cover turns in the "old man link". Today you are working the Bath bank engine, helping trains climb to Combe Down tunnel, and performing miscellaneous duties between those trips.

Pack 3: WD Trial

This pack recreates real events from January of 1959, when an Austerity loco was brought to Bath for testing. You will take the test train from Bath to Evercreech and return light engine. In real life this test was a dismal failure, and we hope you can manage better!

We hope that these immersive story-focused scenario packs are as fun to play as they were to write!

The Buxton Spa Express

We have released a new railtour scenario pack from our collaborators Sean and Stephen.

On the 29th of October 2023, the Railway Touring Company ran a railtour from Preston to Buxton.45699 Galatea, running as 45562 Alberta, hauled the train throughout. The tour would include a rare trip to Hindlow Quarry. In this scenario pack you will drive from Stockport to Buxton, before heading up the Hindlow Branch. You will then return to Stockport via Peak Forest and Chinley. Due to the steep gradients to Buxton, you will have assistance from 47802 on the rear.

Triple Release of Scenario Packs

I'm pleased to share that we've released three new highly-detailed scenario packs:

These packs are based around real duties and are made with the most realistic player/AI trains. If you are missing some requirements, scenarios should still work if you do F2 then Cancel upon loading, provided you aren't missing the player train or anything it couples to.

Triple Release of Scenario Packs

Today I am working through the backlog of releases now that S&D is out. I'm pleased to share three scenario packs created by our external collaborators Sean and Stephen.

1. KWVR 50th Anniversary Gala Days 2–4

This pack of 15 scenarios covers part of the 50th Anniversary Gala at the KWVR in 2018. It has quite a few requirements but this is to cover operations as realistically as possible. Click here.

2. Fifteen Guinea Special 50th Anniversary Railtour

This pack contains 6 scenarios covering three railtours run to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fifteen Guinea Special in 2018. The locos are 45699, 45960, and 60009. Click here.

KWVR Anniversary Day 1 Scenario Pack

This scenario pack covers the KWVR 50th Anniversary. Day 1 would see Ivatt 41241 officially launched into service after an appeal to return her to steam in time for the gala.
